East Bengal F.C.

The Kingfisher East Bengal Football Club is an Indian football club from the Bengal capital Kolkata. It was founded in August 1920.

With the team Mohun Bagan Kolkata is a local rivalry. The derby both teams are considered to be the highlight of any season. The East Bengal Club is a member of India's highest league in the history of the National Football League. The association is a three-time national champion ( 2001, 2003 and 2004) and won six times the Indian Cup.

Stadium

The East Bengal FC plays its home games either at East Bengal Ground (capacity: 23,500 ) from Kolkata or in the Yuba Bharati Krirangan (also Salt Lake Stadium ) in Bidhan Nagar district Kolkataer. This stadium has a capacity of 120,000 spectators.
