Sulín

Sulín ( German very rare Sulm, Hungarian Szulin ) is a municipality in the north-eastern Slovakia in Okres Stara Ľubovňa. Sulín lies in the valley of the Palenický jarok and Poprad, which forms the border between Poland and Slovakia here.

The village was founded in 1960 by the merger of the two places Maly Sulín ( in the former county damage Rosh ) and Velky Sulín ( in the former county Zips ). Until about 1888, and from 1920 to 1927, however, the name Sulín was used for both locations. Among the districts is one next to the main town Sulín still the northwest town located Zavodie.

In the village there is a neoclassical orthodox church of 1879, which is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel.
