The Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport ( IATA: BTJ, ICAO: WITT ) is close to the provincial capital Banda Aceh, Aceh province in the district of Aceh Besar on the island of Sumatra. He was named after the twelfth Sultan of Aceh and is both the only international, as well as the biggest open airport in the province of Aceh. The airport is also known under its old name as Blang Bintang Airport.
Terminal
The airport has three terminals, which are used as two passenger terminals and one exclusively for the air cargo handling is used.
Runway
The airport has a 3,000 -meter paved runway, Runway, which is approved for aircraft up to the size of the Boeing 747-400.
