Geographical Location
Sulzbach-Laufen is located in the natural area Swabian- Franconian Forest in the Kocher.
Neighboring communities
The municipality is bordered to the north by Obersontheim, on the northeast by Buhlerzell, to the east by Adelmannsfelden, on the southeast by Abtsgmuend and on the south by Eschach, on the southwest by Gschwend (the latter four in Ostalb ) and on the northwest by the city Gaildorf.

The municipality Sulzbach-Laufen, which emerged from the independent municipalities running and Sulzbach am Kocher in the context of municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg, include a total of 50 villages, hamlets, farms and (individual) houses: Sulzbach-Laufen with the hamlets of running and Sulzbach on the stove. History
On August 1, 1971, the previously independent community walking was incorporated on stove to Sulzbach am Kocher. The so enlarged community was then renamed on 23 May 1973 in Sulzbach-Laufen.
On the Kranzberg the rest of the castle Kranzberg is from the 13th century.
Policy
The municipality is a member of Gemeindeverwaltungsverband " Limpurger country " based in Gaildorf.
Mayor
The mayor is elected for a term of 8 years. The current mayor Markus Bock was chosen as the successor of Henry Krockenberger on 23 July 2006.

Sulzbach-Laufen maintains partnership relations with Eibau in Saxony.
Attractions
Sulzbach-Laufen is located on the idyllic road that leads past many sights.
The standing army on a ridge mountain church is the landmark of Sulzbach-Laufen and is referred to in numerous descriptions as a " precious jewel " of the kettle valley. It was built in the 15th century by Albrecht von Schenk Gaildorf. A bell in the tower bears the year 1497th
In the district Schloßschmiedelfeld is the former castle Schmiedelfeld.
On the Old Mountain, the highest peak in the district of Schwäbisch Hall and Heilbronn-Franken region, the year-round open Altenberg tower is overlooking Ellwanger Berge, Limpurger mountains, Frick Hofer Height to Albrand.
In the municipality many deep-cut side blades flow into the Kocher, such as the forest valleys of the opening at the Laufener windmill Great Wimbachs or coming between running and Sulzbach from the direction of Altenberg's Nagele Bach. The longest tributary in the community, however, is the running from the area of Gaildorf - Winzenheim hamlet in the north to Sulzbach Rein in its almost up to the last uninhabited forest ravine.
