History

The title was released in Germany on June 22, 2012 as a digital download and is the fourth single from Del Rey's debut album Born to Die. On 13 July 2012, the song appeared also as a maxi-CD and 12 " vinyl single.

Chart positions

Summertime Sadness reached in summer 2012 in some European countries, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the top ten of the charts. In the United Kingdom and the United States, however, the Cedric Gervais Remix only brought the chart success in the summer of 2013.
