History

The ship was as Windward for the shipping company Kloster Cruise ( forerunner of the Norwegian Cruise Line, NCL) built by Chantiers de l' Atlantique. In 1998 she was lengthened at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven and renamed Norwegian Wind.

The Norwegian Wind was used in the spring and winter of 2000 in the Caribbean for seven-day Caribbean cruises from / to Cozumel. Spent the summer the ship with one-week tours in Alaska from / to Vancouver. In the fall of 2000, the Norwegian Wind drove to the Hawaiian Islands. In the years 2001 to 2007, the Norwegian Wind Travel undertook in the Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii.

For the 2007 summer season, the ship of the NCL was given to the parent company, which abandoned the planned new buildings for its own fleet of NCL subsidiary in return. Since then drives the former Norwegian Wind as Superstar Aquarius normally starting from the base port of Hong Kong.
