Surgères

Surgères is a municipality with 6498 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in France and is located in the Pays d' Aunis in the department of Charente- Maritime. This is the north by Poitevinischen Moor, finally to the east by Boutonne Valley, in the south of Charente Valley and to the west from the Atlantic coast.

Surgères takes its name from the small river Gères. To Surgères include the communities Breuil la Réorte, Marsais, Péré, Puyravault, Saint Germain de Marencennes, Saint Georges du Bois, Saint Mard Saint Pierre d' Amilly, Saint Saturnin du Bois, Vandre and Vouhé.
