Süstedter Bach

Süstedter Bach at the K - 118 in Weyhe Sudweyhe

The Süstedter Bach belongs to the river system of the Weser. With a length of about 19 km, it flows exclusively in Diepholz (Lower Saxony) south of Bremen.

It rises in Süstedt ( Samtgemeinde Bruchhausen- Vilsen ), then flows north east of Syke- guard village, Gödestorf, Easter wood and Syke- Okel, sometimes as a border river to Samtgemeinde Thedinghausen, where the Blank Waters opens meadow ditch. It then flows east of Weyhe - Sudweyhe and flows east from Weyhe - Kirchweyhe in the Kirchweyher lake. From there it flows - along with Hache - as Ochtum on the Weser.

In Süstedt is still a water mill ( " Noltesche mill ").
