Thedinghausen (Samtgemeinde)

The Samtgemeinde Thedinghausen is the only integrated municipality in the district of Verden in Lower Saxony and is located at the Weser.

It includes the three municipalities Blender, Emtinghausen, reeds and their administrative headquarters Thedinghausen.

Geography

The Samtgemeinde Thedinghausen is to the left of the Weser river in the northern Middle Weser region.

  • Community Thedinghausen: Ahsen - Oetzen, Beppen, Dibbersen, Donnerstedt, Eissel, Holtorf, Horstedt, Lunsen, Morsum, Oenigstedt, Thedinghausen, Werder and Wulmstorf.

History

Today's Samtgemeinde Thedinghausen was established on 21 July 1972 by the merger of five member communities. This self- created by the 1972 local government reorganization in 18 formerly independent municipalities of the former counties Brunswick, County of Hoya and Verden. On 1 November 2006, the municipalities and Morsum Thedinghausen united to form the new municipality Thedinghausen; since there is Samtgemeinde only four member communities.

The Samtgemeinderat the Samtgemeinde Thedingshausen consists of 30 members, with the integrated municipality mayor under the provisions of the Municipal Code of Lower Saxony is a " born " member. The remaining seats are distributed in Samtgemeinderat as follows:

The coat of arms of the velvet municipality Thedinghausen shows under golden pinnacles main shield in blue, bestreutem with five golden stars a field rotbewehrten tongued and golden lions.
