SV Roßbach/Verscheid

The SV Rossbach / Verscheid (until 2007 SV Rossbach / Wied) is an association founded in 1968 sports club from the Rhineland-Palatinate local church Rossbach at the Wied. Between 1994 and 2007, the football department was playing in a lottery syndicate with the SV Verscheid as SG Rossbach / Verscheid.

History

Five years after the SpVgg Breitscheidstraße - Rossbach had set the game mode, you undertook in Rossbach 1968 a new attempt to set up a football club. Chaired by Peter Gross 48 members stressed the SV Rossbach / Wied from the baptism. The originally founded as a football club Club was established in 1971 affiliated with a table tennis department, and in 1995 a department for women's gymnastics.

Successful sportive division is the football department. In the first 20 years of its existence the club played in the lower divisions of the Football Association of the Rhineland. In 1988 began the construction of a new sports field, a football, a boom in Rossbach. The youth department grew to five teams. A year after they had entered into with the adjacent SV Verscheid a gaming community, succeeded in 1995 under coach Rudi Schmitz for the first time, the rise in the county league A. The immediate descent to rise again followed in 1997 in the county league A, 1998, the rise in the district league, 2000 in the division and in 2001 finally in the Rhineland league.

In the season 2005/06 SG Rossbach / Verscheid Master of the Rhineland league was, but was not allowed to ascend as a game community in the Oberliga West. In the same year the team qualified as participants in the final of the Rhine Country Cup for the first main round of the DFB - Pokal, where the Borussia Mönchengladbach defeated in September 2006 with a 1:4. After dissolution of the gaming community with Verscheid the SV Rossbach / Wied was again in the 2006/07 season champion of the Rhineland league and entered the first time in the Oberliga West.

In his first league season (2007/ 08) the Movers in the first round drew attention to himself by surprise victories against the rise of favorites from Pirmasens, Kaiserslautern, Homburg and Worms. Even when 1.FC Saarbrücken the Roßbachern scored a point profit. Since, however, was lost to some supposedly weaker opponents, the team finished the winter break to tenth place. A very mixed bag second half gave the elf from the Wiedtal finally the 12th Place. In the following season 2008/ 09 the team finished third in the final standings to eighth, in the season 2009/10 the 14 and 2010/11 the 13th Place. 2011/12 it was only 15, but took this season with a 2-0 victory in Emmelshausen against TuS Mayen the Rhineland Cup. Thus, the SV Rossbach / Verscheid qualified for the first round of the DFB Cup 2012/13, where one of the Bundesliga FSV Mainz 05 and met with retired 0:4.

Venue

The SV Rossbach plays its home games on the built 1987-1988 sports ground in the floodplain.
