Svenska Cupen
The Swedish Football Cup, (Swedish: Svenska Cupen ), is the national cup competition for club teams in the Swedish football. The winner qualifies for the UEFA Europa League.
Now since the introduction of new rules with fewer teams every year take part 98 teams. These are the 14 teams in the Fotbollsallsvenskan (1st League ), the 16-team Superettan (2nd league) and 68 teams from minor leagues.
Mode
The competition format of the national cup was repeatedly varied, at times the discharge of the imported due to lack of play opportunities of the national team during World War II competition was set.
By 2011, the cup competition in the knockout system has been played. This occurred in the first round of regional trophy winner and amateur representatives, until the second round, the representatives from Allsvenskan and Superettan were added.
