Sverre Istad

Geir Sverre Istad ( born January 3, 1965 in Voss ) is a former Norwegian biathlete.

Sverre Istad is the son of world champion and Olympic medalist Jon Istad and cousin of Gro Marit Istad - Kristiansen. He was active for Voss IL. He took the first time in 1987 at Biathlon World Championships and was part of 28th in the sprint. The highlight of the career were the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
