Åšwierznica, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Świerznica ( German Zwirnitz ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship in powiat Świdwiński. It lies 16 kilometers south of Białogard ( Belgard ) and belongs to the rural community Rabino ( United Rambin ).

History

1930 was found in the field Zwirnitzer Mark numerous urns and pottery, which indicate a prehistoric burial ground. According to ancient records, the Guts and farming village was the families Hechthausen and Zozenow given as a so-called shared fief. In the story, the owners of the two fiefs changed constantly. 1855 acquired Gottlieb Radoll the whole estate. Last owner before 1945 was Paul Weber.

Belonging Vorwerk Strutzmin in the community Zwirnitz integrated: In 1928 was the earlier Bolkow ( Bolkowo today Polish). The population in 1939 was dropped to 198 compared with 211 in 1865.

By 1945 Zwirnitz belonged to Belgard. The farmers of the village lived on potato cultivation and animal husbandry. In the village there was a water mill operation, a blacksmith and a grocery store with restaurant. Zwirnitz was deposited from through traffic. Until the station United Rambin ( Reichsbahn Berlin- Stettin - Pomerania - Gdansk - Kaliningrad ) there were 4 kilometers.

Last municipality mayor before 1945 was Reinhold Manzke. Zwirnitz belonged to the district of Ball Mountain ( Biała Góra ) and for the civil registry district Arnhausen ( Lipie ). Last incumbents were Georg Gebhardt and Walter Frank and Hans -Ulrich Pretzell. District court district was Bad Polzin ( Połczyn Zdrój ).

In the first days of March 1945, the Red Army occupied the town without a fight. Zwirnitz became part of Poland and is now Świerznica as a part of the rural community Rabino in powiat Świdwiński.

Church

Zwirnitz had its own church: a simple half-timbered building, refurbished in 1870, it was once the family of Wolde as the private chapel.

The congregation Zwirnitz was until 1945 a branch municipality in the composite of the parish Arnhausen ( Lipie ) and was part of the church district Belgard ( Ecclesiastical Province of Pomerania ), the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union. In 1940, the small country community numbered at least 210 members of the congregation. Last pastor was Egbert Zieger.

Today Świerznica is a village in the Parafia ( parish ) Koszalin ( Koszalin ) the Kościół Ewangelicko - Augsburski ( Luterański ) w Polsce (Evangelical Church of the Augsburg ( Lutheran ) Confession in Poland).

School

In 1860 had Zwirnitz own village school, which was led einklassig. Last headmaster was George Gebhardt.
