Syrian parliamentary election, 1947

The parliamentary elections in Syria in 1947 were the first elections that were held after the official independence from France in 1946.

They took place on July 7, 1947 of 1947, with a second round in some constituencies on July 18. In parliament with 127 seats only went 24 to the National Party of President Shukri al - Quwatli, 50 independents and 53 at a composition of opposition elements, including 33 for the People's Party.
