Tacachi

Tacachi is a town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Tacachi is the central place of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Tacachi in the province Punata and is at the southeastern edge of the 490 km ² large fertile plateau of the Valle Alto. The village lies at an altitude of 2813 m approximately ten kilometers from the edge of the Cordillera Oriental, which rises east of Villa Rivero to over 3,600 m and 4,100 m north of Punata on.

Geography

Tacachi lies in the transitional area between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands to the east.
