Tacachi Municipality

The municipality Tacachi is a district in the department of Cochabamba in Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Tacachi is one of five Municipalities of the province Punata. It is bordered on the northwest by the municipality of Villa Rivero, to the south and southeast by the municipality of Cuchumuela and on the northeast by the province Arani.

The central location of the municipality is Tacachi with 750 inhabitants in the southern part of the municipality ( 2001).

Geography

The municipality Tacachi is in the transition zone between the Andes mountain range, the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.

The mean average temperature of the region is about 18 ° C (see climate chart Cochabamba ) and varies only slightly between 14 ° C in June / July and 20 ° C in October / November.
