Villa Rivero Municipality

The municipality of Villa Rivero is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality of Villa Rivero is one of five Municipalities of the province Punata. It is bordered to the west by the province of Germán Jordán, on the southwest by the province of Esteban Arce, on the southeast by the municipality of Cuchumuela, on the east by the municipality of Tacachi, in the north- east by the province Arani and to the north by the municipality of Punata.

The central location of the municipality of Villa Rivero is with 671 inhabitants in the northwestern part of the municipality ( 2001).

Geography

The municipality of Villa Rivero is located in the transition zone between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands to the east. The mean average temperature of the region is almost 18 ° C (see climate chart Cochabamba ) and varies only slightly between 14 ° C in June and July and 20 ° C in November. The annual precipitation is about 450 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to September, with monthly rainfall less than 10 mm, and a humidity from December to February with an 90-110 mm monthly rainfall.
