Tadeusz Rutkowski
Tadeusz Rutkowski ( born April 25, 1951 in Kraków ) is a former Polish weightlifter.
Sporting career
Rutkowski had his first international assignment at the World Cup 1973 in Havana, where he scored in the 2nd heavy weight 110 kg 340.0 kg ( 150.0 / 190.0 kg ), finishing in eighth place. The winner Pawel Perwuschin lifted 385.0 kg. A year later, the World Cup in Manila to Rutkowski increased to 350.0 kg ( 150.0 / 200.0 kg ), reaching a sixth place.
He continued his development up to the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, which simultaneously constitute the world championships this year, continued and was able to prevail with 377.5 kg ( 167.5 / 210.0 kg ), which to him after the disqualification of the originally winners Valentin Hristov brought the bronze medal behind Yury Zaitsev and Krasto Semerdzhiev each with 385.0 kg.
His next World Cup denied Rutkowski 1978 in Gettysburg, where he spent two years previously placed with exactly the same power of the Olympic Games on the fourth. Even after 1980 Rutkowski remained in the less highly competitive super heavyweight and was in 1981 with 415.0 kg ( 182.5 / 232.5 kg ) in single combat bronze, behind Anatoly Pysarenko with 425.0 kg and 417.5 kg Senno Salzwedel, in the World Championships in Lille win. His last international match played Rutkowski at the 1982 World Cup in Ljubljana. He lifted a total of 405.0 kg ( 180.0 / 225.0 kg ), resulting in a good position in the midfield. The winner was again Pisarenko with 445.0 kg, followed by Antonio Krastev with 442.5 kg.
