Talal Abu-Ghazaleh

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh ( Arab Talal Abu Ghazala طلال أبو غزالة, DMG Talal Abu Gazala; born April 22, 1938 in Jaffa, then in the Mandate of Palestine ) is the chairman, CEO and Founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Organization ( TAGORG ), which is native to Jordan.

Abu- Ghazaleh is regarded as a masterpiece of Arab accounting and played an important role for the promotion of intellectual property rights in the Arab region.

Life

Abu- Ghazaleh fled with his Palestinian family from Jaffa as a result of the Nakba 1948 after Ghazziyeh, Lebanon. After primary and secondary school in Sidon visit, he went to Beirut to get a college education at American University on a scholarship.

During his studies he worked as a translator and as a teacher. His first job after graduation was at an accounting firm.

After the hearing a conversation on intellectual property in a Time Warner conference in San Francisco, Abu Ghazaleh decided in 1969 for working in the field of intellectual property rights as well as the accounts.

In 1972, the two companies Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Company ( TAGCO ) and Abu- Ghazaleh Intellectual property (AGIP ) was established. Since then, Abu- Ghazaleh founded a total of 14 companies specialized in different areas such as administration, counseling, legal services, IT and much more. These are summarized today under the umbrella of the Talal Abu- Ghazaleh - organization.

Over the years, Abu- Ghazaleh was successful is to establish very close partnerships with global organizations such as the United Nations and the WTO.

On 4 April 2007 the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Abu- Ghazaleh appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Global Compact of the United Nations during its second meeting at the UN headquarters in New York.
