In Nürtingen is a regular connection to the trains to Stuttgart and Tübingen. There is a rigid clock schedule, weekdays it will be every 60 minutes, run every 30 minutes in rush hour. The travel time from twelve minutes also allows the 30 -minute intervals to get along with only one vehicle circulation, train crossings no longer see the scheduled operation today instead. Sunday rested until 2013, rail transport, except for the regular steam train rides of the Society for the Preservation of rail vehicles (GES), which are marketed under the name Sofazügle. Since March 24, 2013 will also be held on Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00 clock control mode every hour. This is initially funded until the end of 2014.

In Neuffen is the main workshop of the WEG. There are also vehicles of other routes to be serviced.

Rolling stock

Today

Since 2000, coming on the Tälesbahn only vehicles of the type Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1 used. Only with these strong spurt railcars (Engine power 2 x 257 kW) it is possible to observe the travel time from twelve minutes. With the older vehicles in the WEG this would not be possible.

There are a total of four railcars available: VT 442 ( " Katja " ) VT 445 ( "Alice" ), VT 446 ( " Agnes " ) and VT 447 ( " Mara "). All four vehicles are stationed in Neuffen.

Former

Prior mostly used railcars of various types were used. So Esslinger railcars of the first series as the T were 20 ( 1984: VT 403), or T 10 (since 1984: VT 402) in daily use. The T 20 1953 came factory on the Tälesbahn that of the Strohgäubahn T 10 around 1982 (then operated by the Württemberg branch lines, today also WEG). From the second series Esslinger railcars T drove 19 (since 1984: VT 405) on the track.

For the morning school traffic mainly of T provided with 4 x 210 hp engines Bussing was 11 ( 1984: VT 401 ) was used, which was used in the early years and for the transport of limestone Neuffen to Nürtingen. This railcar was a converted " Dessauer " from 1928, which until 2000 was in operation between Nürtingen and Neuffen.

Further, also the two railcars T 23 and 24, mostly used in the double header, the limestone trains. However, they left the Tälesbahn in 1979 after the end of the Stone transports and came to the Lower Kettle Valley Railway from Jagstfeld after Ohrnberg. This was also part of the WEG. T 23 and 24 were equipped with automatic Scharfenberg couplers.

The fox railcar VT 06 came in 1979 from the Lower Kettle Valley Railway into Neuffener valley and was only sporadically on Saturdays in use, because the small Zweichachser traffic could barely cope. Today, the VT 06 is one of the Ulm railway enthusiasts and operable.
