Captain Balu and his daredevil crew (English TaleSpin ) is an animated series The Walt Disney Company with anthropomorphic animals as characters, consisting of 65 episodes, each 22 minutes. The main characters are based on characters from the Disney movie The Jungle Book.

Content

The series takes place in the fictional town of Cape Suzette State ( engl. Cape Suzette ), a port city, which is surrounded by huge cliffs that leave only a small gorge open as a way to the sea. This opening is protected by the anti-aircraft guns equipped with artillery from air pirates who attempt to enter the city.

The Mietpilot Balu works for the air cargo carrier Higher and Higher ( Higher for Hire ) by Rebecca Cunningham. An orphan boy and former air pirate, Kit clouds streaker is joined Balu and his navigator. Together they build the crew of the only aircraft of the company, a yellow amphibious aircraft type Conwing L -16 ( Kit clouds runabout called but about minute in the ninth of the first episode of thunder, lightning and Don Cur the term BCR -16 and for the motors Super flight 100) with the name Sea Duck ( Sea Duck), dar. Production and publication

Captain Balu and his daredevil crew in 1990 produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, under the direction of Jymn Magon, Ed Ghertner, Larry Latham, Jamie Mitchell and Robert Taylor. The music was composed by Christopher L. Stone. The animations were produced in France at Walt Disney Animation merchant, the Sun Woo Animation Studios, Wang Film Productions and Walt Disney Animation Japan were involved. The series was built around the character Baloo from the movie The Jungle Book, as it was very popular. Also the characters Shere Khan and Louie were taken from the movie.

The broadcast of the series was preceded by the film thunder, lightning and Don Cur (English Plunder and Lightning ). This was later cut into four parts. A preview of the series aired from 5 May 1990 at the Disney Channel, the first season ran from October 9 at The Disney Afternoon through syndication. The last episode was aired in the U.S. on 8 August 1991.

In Germany, the series was shown first in the First in the show Disney Club on 8 October 1994 to 30 December 1995. Later followed reps on Super RTL, Disney Channel, Toon Disney and kabel eins.

In America was released in 1991 based on the series at Disney comics seven issues of the monthly comic booklet and a four editions comprehensive mini- series, based on the pilot.
