Tamisuke Watanuki

Tamisuke Watanuki (Japanese绵 贯 民 辅, Watanuki Tamisuke; born April 30, 1927 in Inami, County Higashitonami (now Nanto ), Toyama, Japan) is a Japanese politician and former Member of the Japanese House of Commons ( Shūgiin ) and chairman of the New People's Party. As a long- time member of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP), he served as President of the House, Minister of State and LDP Secretary General.

Life

Watanuki is the son of the entrepreneur and deputies Suketami Watanuki. He completed his studies in 1955 at the Keio University from, then he took over the management of the forwarding Tonami Un'yu KK (English Tonami Transportation Co., Ltd.)., whose president today is his son Katsusuke. In 1959 he was elected to his second candidacy in the prefecture of Toyama Parliament.
