Tassin-la-Demi-Lune

Tassin -la -Demi -Lune is a southern French village with 19 868 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Rhône department in the Rhône -Alpes. The municipality is also the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Tassin -la -Demi -Lune.

History

980 the village was first mentioned in a document. Its roots as the Lyons back in the early period. Here the crossing of Yzeron was already used in Roman times. The Château Tassin appears in a charter of 1076.
