Ted Kooser

Ted Kooser ( born April 25, 1939 in Ames, Iowa) is an American poet and the 13th Poet Laureate of the United States.

Life and work

In April 2004 he was appointed Poet Laureate. In June 2006, Donald Hall became his successor. In 2005 he received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for his work Delights and Shadows.
