Telê Santana da Silva ( born July 26, 1931 in Itabirito (MG) ​​, † April 21, 2006 in Belo Horizonte ( MG) ) was a Brazilian football player and coach. Career

Telê Santana began his career at FC Itabirense in his hometown. He later moved to Fluminense Rio de Janeiro, where he met his first team, a youth team of Fluminense, took over as coach in 1967.

He coached the Brazilian national team at the time of the World Championships in 1982 and 1986. He finished his career in 1996 at São Paulo FC, ​​after leading the team in the first half of the 1990s to its peak.
