Temnitzquell

Temnitzquell is a municipality in the district Ostprignitz -Ruppin in Brandenburg.

Geography

The community is located about 15 km northwest of the town of Neuruppin and 70 km from Berlin. To the south of the district Katerbow is approximately 2 km long Katerbower lake, which is one of the foothills of the Mecklenburg Lake District. Until the next junction heart jump at the Federal Highway 24 is approximately 10 km.

History

The municipality was created on 30 December 1997 through the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Katerbow, Netzeband and Rägelin.

Attractions

  • Temnitzkirche in Netzeband: as a center for arts and culture used.
  • Memorial stone on the road to Frankendorf for the victims of the death march from Sachsenhausen concentration camp from April 1945
  • Parzival I: steel sculpture ( 1994) by Matthias Zagon hollow stone in front of Temnitzkirche.
  • In the district Netzeband is a Slavic castle wall.
