Temple of the Sun

The Sun Temple or Temple of the Sun ( Ritan日 坛/日 坛, Pinyin: Ritan ) in Chaoyang District, Beijing in 1530 invested in the Ming Dynasty and during the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties of emperors used to sacrifice purposes. At the opposite end of the city center is the moon altar ( Yuetan ) in Yuetan Park.

The Sun Temple is since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-304 ).

The temple is located in the Ritan Park and Sun Altar Park (日 坛 公园).
