The 411

The 411 was a four-piece R & B band from the UK.

Band History

The band was born in late 2002 from a group of singers who supported the British R & B singer Lemar when recording his version of Al Green's Let's Stay Together. The band's name referred to the published by Mary J. Blige album What 's the 411? .

In July 2004, appeared on my knees the first single of the band, where they were supported by the U.S. rapper Ghostface Killah ( Wu -Tang Clan ). The single went straight to number 4 on the UK Singles Charts, however, could take little international foot. The success of the debut single was released three months later finally surpassed with the title Dumb: The single peaked at # 3 on the UK Singles Chart, in Germany just missed the Top 20

In November 2004, appeared with Between the Sheets, the debut album of the band, for which, among others, Ashanti and Diane Warren songs contributed. Despite two commercially successful hit singles and the subsequent extraction Teardrops, the album flopped in the international charts. Sony BMG separated as a result of the group broke up then.

In 2007, they re-formed, first under the name Sunshyne. From March 2008, then again under its old name of The 411 The group was, with the exception of the member Suzie Furlonger, which was replaced by Nuala Farrelly, again in their old occupation. Although already new songs were written and produced, the girls did not get a record deal, so they disbanded again.
