Coorong is located in the Murraylands at the Encounter Bay, about 110 km southeast of the city of Adelaide. Management

The Council of Coorong has eight members who are elected by the residents of three wards ( four from the Mallee Ward and two each from Lakes and Parks Ward). These three districts are set independently of the villages. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
