The Day of the Triffids (film)

Flowers of Secrets ( Original title: The Day of the Triffids ) is a British science fiction horror film from 1962 directed by Steve Sekely; played the leading role of the later Dallas star Howard Keel. As a presentation of the science fiction novel was The Triffids by John Wyndham, down to the basic idea - the blindness of almost all people, and the occurrence of the Triffids - has the movie plot with the novel but very little in common.

Action

About London a comet showers appear and all the people admire the spectacle. But no one suspects that this is the beginning of a nightmare.

All people who have seen the comet showers blind. City life has come to a halt, and the blind people are disoriented. However, some people have been spared the blindness because they have not seen the rain. Among them, Bill Mason, who has recovered at the time of the event of an eye operation.

Soon they discover that the comet showers part of an interplanetary invasion. Huge changing plant from outer space appear in London. They are intelligent and capable of communication and are hungry for human flesh. They attack the blind people and eat them. However, the remaining sighted people want to stop the invaders before they even conquer the earth.
