The Dismemberment Plan

The Dismemberment Plan ( The Plan also or D -Plan) was founded in 1993, American indie rock band from Washington DC They released four albums.

History

The band was formed during their high school years on January 1, 1993 by Eric Axelson (bass ), Steve Cummings (drums), Travis Morrison (guitar and vocals ) and Jason Caddell ( guitar). First released an EP and then their debut album! , Which appeared in DeSoto Records. Shortly after the publication of the plate left drummer Steve Cummings, the band, he was replaced by Joe Easley. This was the only cast change in D plan.

Had her breakthrough the band with their third album Emergency & I, which was evaluated by the criticism very positive. So, for example, awarded the prestigious Pitchfork Media Page 9.6 of 10 possible points. The relative success of Emergency & I followed tours in America and Europe, where the band played, among others, as the opening act for Pearl Jam and Death Cab for Cutie. 2001 then appeared with Change their fourth and final studio album since the band broke up in the fall of 2003. The members of the band were already partially involved in other projects, Eric Axelson founded, for example, along with ex-members of The Promise Ring, the band Maritime. In addition, 2003 was published a compilation called A People's History of the Dismemberment plan, which consisted of fan-made remixes of D -Plan songs.
