The Dutchess

The Dutchess is the debut album of singer Fergie. The work was produced mainly by will.i.am. The album was released on 18 September 2006 in Europe and a day later in the United States.

Singles

The first single was released on 18 July 2006 London Bridge on the American market. The song, which was produced by Polow da Don, where reached # 1 on the Billboard charts. In Germany and the UK, she managed a similarly good result. In October of the same year the second single Fergalicious appeared and climbed to top positions in the charts. The song is based on Supersonic by J. J. Fad, one of the first female rap groups. The albums title is a nod to Sarah, Duchess of York, whose title is in English, Duchess of York, bearing the same surname and nickname as the artist.
