" Just Stand Up! " Is a song by an all-star charity group consisting of pop, R & B, rock and country artists. The live version was during the telethon " Stand Up to Cancer ". The group was intentionally as "Artists Stand Up to Cancer " presented to the public.
The U.S. songwriter and producer Antonio "LA" Reid conceived the collaboration after a meeting with the founder of Stand Up to Cancer, which benefited from the proceeds of the song. Reid produced the track together with the American singer Babyface. The single was released August 21, 2008 as a download.
The singers sang the song live on the telethon " Stand Up to Cancer ," which was simultaneously broadcast on the U.S. television stations ABC, CBS and NBC on September 5, 2008.
The single was re- released on 30 September 2008, with the original recording, as well as the version of the live performance are available. The CD has been improved so that they had special features for a computer. A music video was not created or shot for the single.
On 15 October 2010 the song of RIAA was awarded double platinum and the live music video with gold.

Live Performance
The live performance at the " Stand Up 2 Cancer " event on 5 September 2008 broadcast by several channels. All original artists appeared for the concert, with the exception of LeAnn Rimes, Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge. To support sang Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls singing parts of Sheryl Crow. The live performance is slightly different from the original song and on the single included with. The live music video is available on iTunes.
Chart positions
The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 78 in the week of 13 September 2008. The next week the song had its biggest sales jumped 67 places up to 11th place in the next week but is was song number 36 back. He had on the Billboard Pop 100 chart with number 18 its maximum placement. In the UK Singles Chart, the song debuted at number 26 before he eventually rose to # 1. In the Canadian Hot 100 it made its debut at number 10 in the week of 11 September 2008, just based on downloads.
