Never Too Far

September 2001

Never Too Far is a song by American singer Mariah Carey. The song was written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis her and produced. It appeared on her album Glitter. The protagonist of this ballad explains that although means physical distance, love, lovers can sometimes separate. In September 2001, the song was released as the second single from the album.

Never Too Far was the first song in Carey's career, which the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 missed. However, the song in Australia and the UK, a top 40 hit and in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden was itself placed the song outside the top 40th

There appeared no remix versions of the song. The charity single Never Too Far / Hero Medley combines the first verse of Never Too Far, with the second verse and the bridge of Carey's U.S. number -one hit Hero (1993). The charity single was able to compensate for the lack of success of Never Too Far later and make it into the American Billboard Hot 100

Since Carey previously suffered a nervous breakdown, not a music video could be turned to song. Instead of the music video was a scene taken directly from the film Glitter, where Billie Frank (played by Carey ) the song at Madison Square Garden in New York City, while singing her first sold-out concert.
