Crybaby is song of the American Contemporary R & B singer Mariah Carey, in cooperation with the U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg. The title was released on 2 November 1999 on Carey's seventh studio album Rainbow and was coupled with Can not Take That Away ( Mariah 's Theme ) on 18 July 2000 as the fourth single. Crybaby reached the 28th place of the American pop charts.

Development and production

Crybaby emerged in the summer of 1999 on Capri. Carey wrote the song along with Snoop Dogg, who raps the Bridge. The song was based on a sample of Piece of My Love, which was originally written in 1988 by Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, Timmy Gatling and Gene Griffin for the hip- hop group Guy. As a producer, stepped up to the producer Damizza Carey in appearance.

Content

The song is about insomnia that plagues the protagonist when she has to ponder many nights over a past love affair. As an autobiographical reference Carey calls her tight work schedule that compose her with, recordings and productions enables hardly pauses for rest. Also the many promotional dates they prevented increasingly disable it and let them sleep poorly at night.

The music video was produced by Crybaby Sanaa Hanri showing also for the video for Can not Take That Away ( Mariah 's Theme ) responsible. In the video, Mariah Carey and Snoop Dogg occur.

Charts placement

The song arrived in America at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In the charts of the Hot R & B / Hip- Hop Singles & Tracks publication number 23 came in the Canadian chats in fourth place.
