One Sweet Day is a song by American singer Mariah Carey, along with the R & B group Boyz II Men It was jointly developed by Carey, Walter Afanasieff and the members of Boyz II Men, Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, Nathan Morris and Michael McCary written. One Sweet Day was produced by Carey and Afanasieff for her fifth studio album, Daydream. He appeared as the second single from the album on 15 November 1995. The single is 16 weeks old one that the second- longest at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 was.

In the song it 's about how the lyrical I lose a loved one and missing this every day. Also mentioned is the possibility to seeing this one day in heaven. Both Carey and Boyz II Men wrote the song for people in their lives. He was dedicated to the victims of the disease AIDS, which was reinforced in the public eye in 1995. The death of producer David Cole and Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark formed the inspiration for the song.
