The Forum ( 1988-2003 known as the Great Western Forum, after the sponsor Great Western Savings & Loan ) is the name of a multi-purpose hall in Inglewood in Los Angeles County. It was built from 1965 to 1967 on behalf of Jack Kent Cooke, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers ( NBA), and founder of the Los Angeles Kings (NHL). The Arena is currently owned by the Faithful Central Bible Church.

On September 10, 1973 took place in the Forum Muhammad Ali's rematch in the NABF championship against Ken Norton instead, Ali won that fight over 12 rounds on points.

The forum was from 1967 to 1999 home of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Kings. 1979 Cooke sold the Forum, together with two teams to Jerry Buss. In the 80s, the Lakers picked up five times the title of the NBA in the forum. At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles here the basketball games were played.

1988 Buss sold the naming rights to the Great Western Savings & Loan. Besides ice hockey and basketball, as well as various indoor football teams played in the forum. The forum has no VIP boxes. 1999 was inaugurated the modern Staples Center in Los Angeles. Both the Lakers and the Kings moved their homestead there.

Even after 2000, the forum is still used for concerts. This included performances by Madonna, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on.
