Los Angeles Blades (WHL)

The Los Angeles Blades were an American ice hockey franchise in the Western Hockey League from Los Angeles, California.

History

The franchise of the Victoria Cougars of the Western Hockey League became the 1961/62 season to Los Angeles, California, relocated and renamed Blades in Los Angeles. While the team in their first three seasons each finished the regular season in the middle of the league, they finished in the following three seasons, only the last or second to last place.

Following the 1966/67 season featured the Los Angeles Blades a game operation, as with the Los Angeles Kings a new hockey franchise from the city a place in the National Hockey League received and competition from the new team was too large.
