The Good Life (band)

The Good Life is an American indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska and was founded by Tim Kasher, lead singer and guitarist of cursive. The name of the four -piece band from Omaha comes from a street sign of the state of Nebraska and is a slogan of the state.

History

Tim Kasher The Good Life planned first as a solo project to process song material that did not appear suitable for his other musical projects. For this project, he was able to win Roger Lewis, Landon Hedges and Mike home as a studio musician and brought in 2000 by the label Better Looking Records from San Diego 's debut album Novena on a Nocturn to. Mike home on the keyboard was shortly replaced in 2001 by Jiha Lee. After that Kasher again devoted his band project Cursive and let the work on his project The Good Life rest.

2002 He then formed his own band, which supplemented by Ryan Fox in the same year the label Saddle Creek album Black Out published. After the recordings, Landon Hedges got out, stepped in for the Ted Stevens. With Stefanie Drootin the band was finally able to find a permanent replacement. In May 2004 the EP Lovers Need Lawyers and in August 2004 the third album Album of the Year, which is considered the best ever song material of the formation appeared. On 11 September 2007 the fourth album Help Wanted Nights was released in the United States. In Germany it is published on 5 October 2007 on indigo. In 2008, the band Tokyo Police Club brought out the album Elephant Shell, on a remix of the Good Life song Listen To The Math is included.
