Background

For the TV miniseries, which has never been seen to date in the German television, 75 Actor and nearly 2,000 extras were committed. Filming was not in Morocco, as in most Bible films of the case, but in Spain and Canada. The interior shots were taken in a studio in Ontario, Canada, and the exterior shots near Malaga, Spain. Also noteworthy is the music. The composer does without largely on modern instruments and used mainly as an instrument, as they were played at the time of Christ in Judea.
