The Legacy (English: The legacy, the heritage ) is the debut album by the American thrash metal band Testament. It was released in April 1987 Megaforce Records. It was produced by Alex Perialas. The name of the album is the old name of the band, Legacy, back.

Genesis

After Steve Souza had left 1986 Testament to switch to Exodus, the band found in Chuck Billy of the hard rock band Guilt, the Souza himself had recommended the new singer and frontman.
