John Tempesta

John Tempesta ( born September 26, 1964 in New York City ) is an American drummer who was active among other things for the band Exodus, Testament and White Zombie. He played in addition to the solo band of Rob Zombie. Currently (2010) he is the drummer of The Cult.

Career

Tempesta was first drum technician of the heavy metal band Anthrax. He is also mentioned in the Anthrax version of the drinking song Friggin 'in the Riggin ', the text of which also dealt with the crew members of the band. The early 1990s, he was initially a member of Exodus before 1994 briefly joined Testament, where he recorded the album with low grossed as a guest musician. Also on the later releases of the band, such as First Strike Still Deadly 2001, an album of re-recordings of old pieces, he can be heard again. Since the mid- 1990s he was then working for Rob Zombie and White Zombie.

In 2000, he played in a piece of Tony Iommi 's self-titled solo album. 2004 to 2005 he was engaged in Helmet.

Also in 2004, he founded with his brother Mike Tempesta (guitar) and former Rob Zombie guitarist Mike Riggs, the band Scum of the Earth.

In February 2006, he joined The Cult, 2007, he recorded the album Born Into This on with.
