Bonded by Blood (English for connected by blood) is the debut album by the American thrash metal band Exodus. It was released on April 25, 1985 via Torrid Records and is considered one of the most influential albums of the genre. In 2008, the band in their current occupation, the album took on again and released the recordings under the title Let There Be Blood.

Formation

The nine songs on the album already created years before the album was recorded. Some songs of 1983 Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett impersonated contributed ideas. The recordings took place in the Prairie Sun Studios within three weeks. The stay in the studio was loud drummer Tom Hunting and guitarist Gary Holt a big party, to which the band invited friends and in which a large part of the furniture and equipment was destroyed.

Let There Be Blood

After the album Bonded by Blood was not available for a long time in the U.S., the band went to great regain the rights to the songs.
