The Miracle is the book published in May 1989, the 13th studio album by British rock band Queen.

The album

On the album cover the heads of the band members with a photo editing software are merged into a single head. This iconic image of togetherness is continued in the details of the song writers. All titles are first described by the term "Queen" as a song writer. This can be explained by the circumstances under which the album was created. Brian May was after his divorce from his wife in a difficult emotional state and Freddie Mercury the first signs of his AIDS illness became noticeable. After the Magic tour in 1986, Queen had lodged their hitherto longest break; in this period, the band members devoted their respective solo projects. So ultimately it took three years of the release of their latest album A Kind of Magic to The Miracle. Due to the state of health of the penultimate Mercury published during his lifetime studio album was also not supported by a concert tour.

The album was supposed the title The Invisible Man received. However, three weeks before the scheduled release they decided to change the title in The Miracle.

The Miracle combines both pop music and rock music on an album. The typical Queen sound is clearly identified. As rock Title particular Khashoggi 's Ship, I Want It All, Breakthru, Scandal and What are It All Worth It to name. Here is a clear emphasis on the rock guitar riffs, a largely acoustic drums and the possibility of Mercury's voice is also set to sound aggressive. Not only for the pop songs Party, The Miracle and Rain Must Fall take synthesizers and effects a central role. A common synthetic drum kit supports the pop nature of this title, which are clearly influenced by the currents of the 1980s.
