Content
Act 1
As Ossi, the daughter of the American oyster king Mister Quaker, must learn from the newspapers that the daughter of the king shoe polish Mister Blakpott married a count, it destroys anger the interior of your room. Production
The shooting took place in Ufa - Atelier Berlin -Tempelhof. The cost of production amounted to 250,000 marks. The Oyster Princess was occupied by the censorship in June 1919 with a youth ban. The world premiere of the film took place in May 1919 in UT Kurfürstendamm in Berlin.
In 2006 appeared The Oyster Princess as one of five silent films Lubitsch Ernst Lubitsch in the Collection on DVD. The digitally restored film version was about underlaid with a composition of Alyosha Zimmermann.
Criticism
