The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!
The Pirates! - Band of Misfits ( The Pirates - In Band of Misfits / The Pirates - Band of Misfits ) a stop-motion film is based on the first book of the novel series Pirates! British author Gideon Defoe. It is a joint production of Aardman Animations and Sony Pictures Animation. Germany was started on 29 March 2012.
Action
The motley crew of a pirate ship tries under the direction of an equally ambitious as unsuitable captain to grab glory and booty, so that the pirate captain pirate wins the award of the year on the pirate island Blood Iceland. They hijack the Beagle by Charles Darwin, who notes that it is, in fact a copy of the applicable extinct Dodos at Polly, the alleged parrot pirate crew. The pirates take Darwin at whose house in London (which is run by his trained monkey Bobo ) to introduce the Dodo of the Royal Society. Darwin tried several times for the love of the Queen to steal the Dodo and introduce him to himself, but the pirate captain succeeds Polly hidden in his beard even present. As the most expensive part of the business models proved to be the pirate ship, which consisted of 44 569 individual parts, weighed 335 kg and was 4.2 meters long.
