The Princess and the Frog
The Princess and the Frog ( engl. The Princess and the Frog) is the 49th full-length animated film the Walt Disney Studios and released in 2009. The film is loosely based on ED Baker's children's book Esmeralda, Frog Princess, which in turn inspired by the fairy tale The Frog Prince is, and is about the African-American girl Tiana who lives in New Orleans.
Action
New Orleans, 1926: Tiana, a young woman from the lower class, has two jobs at the same time to save money for her own restaurant. In the port Prince Naveen comes from Maldonia with the intent to improve its financial situation. His parents have set the money supply, and now Naveen wants to marry a rich beauty from the southern United States. "Big Daddy" La Bouff Eli, father of Tiana's childhood friend Charlotte, hosted a masquerade ball to Naveen's honor. Charlotte commissioned Tiana to make beignets for the ball. The payment enough, an old sugar mill to buy: Tiana's future restaurant.
Meanwhile, Naveen and his valet Lawrence encounter Dr. Facilier, a voodoo witch doctor. Facilier promises the two that he can make their dreams come true. Unfortunately, none of them gets what he expected: Naveen is a frog, while Lawrence by a voodoo spell gets the shape of Naveen. Facilier intends that Lawrence marries Charlotte, after which he wants Big Daddy La Bouff kill and claim his assets.
At the ball, Tiana learns that she will lose the mill to a higher bidder. Because Tiana costume is accidentally destroyed, Charlotte Tiana is a princess costume and a tiara. Charlotte returns to the party; Tiana expresses their desire before the evening star, only to be found a frog sitting next to him. He tries to stop the demons, so that they can escape, but Facilier mortally wounded him. Facilier meets Tiana and offers her to make her dream of owning a restaurant come true if she gives him the amulet. Tiana refuses and destroys the amulet. The Angry spirits demand Facilier himself as consideration and draw him into their world.
Naveen explains to the confused Charlotte about the situation, as Tiana joins the two. Tiana admits that she loves Naveen and would spend her life with him as a frog. Charlotte offers to kiss Naveen, so he and Tiana people. Unfortunately, the age of Mardi Gras and the clock to ring at midnight, before she kissed the frog. Louis appears with the dying Ray. Despite the events of Ray shows his joy for the frogs before he dies. He is buried and a star next to his Evangeline.
