The single was on 14 September 1991, a number -one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and in Canada, so it was Abdul's sixth number -one hit in succession on the Billboard Hot 100, which previously only the Beatles, the Bee Gees and Whitney Houston had succeeded. He is her today last number -one hit, as Abdul's commercial success diminished with the next released single Blowing Kisses in the Wind rapidly. The single version of the song is 4:17 min long, the album version 4:32 min.
