The Scourger is a Finnish thrash metal band from Helsinki, which was founded in 2003.

History

The band was formed in 2003 in Helsinki by singer Jari Hurskainen beforehand with Gandalf, and drummer Seppo Tarvainen. The electric guitar played initially Pekka Hämäläinen, a friend on Tarvainen. Together they created the songs for their first demo. They recorded their first demo, which was mixed by Tony Näykki. On the demo was heard a cover version of Cold by At the Gates.

In spring 2004, the band worked on new songs.
