Theodoros Papaloukas

Theodoros " Thodoris " Papaloukas (Greek Θεόδωρος " Θοδωρής " Παπαλουκάς, born May 8, 1977 in Athens ) is a retired Greek professional basketball player.

Career

Papaloukas started his footballing career in 1993 at the Athens amateur club Ethinkos Ellinoroson. Two years later he moved to Ampelokipi, where he rose to become a regular player and topscorer, and ascended into the first Greek basketball league. National

Between 2000 and 2008, Papaloukas was a regular in the Greek national team. With the team he took part in the 2001 European Basketball Championship in Turkey and reached the ninth. Two years later, the team arrived at the European Championships in Sweden ranked 5th disappointing 2004 on home soil, the Olympic basketball tournament in which Greece was eliminated in the quarter- finals and finished fifth at the end.
